Brookwood – Direct Care Personnel
The Brookwood Community is currently seeking compassionate people with a commitment to human service, for Direct Care Personnel in providing personal care and daily livings needs to their wonderful citizens.
Requirements are as follows: The ability to work a flexible schedule, the desire to learn, including personal care and daily living skills meet all health requirements, including TB test, pass background and driving checks. Previous experience in nursing homes or home health is helpful, but not required.

Brookwood – Part Time Retail Sales Associates
The Sherren Smith gift and Garden Center is accepting applications for Inside/Outside Retail Associates. Responsibilities include irrigation, customer service, uploading and loading plants, and register procedures. Candidates must possess a professional appearance, strong customer service skills, and willingness to learn, and be organized.
Open availability and flexibility to work some weekends preferred. NO EVENING HOURS!

Brookwood – Horticulture Section Assistant Grower
Currently accepting applications for a Full Time Section Assistant Grower who will be working in a vast horticulture department. Must be dependable, hones, willing to learn, and physically able to work in hot, humid conditions. Some weekend work will be required. Experience growing plants in a production greenhouse is desirable but not necessary. Must be a team player and ready to learn!

Brookwood – Horticulture Sales Manager
The Brookwood Community is looking for a full Time Horticulture Sales Manager. Experienced candidates will have knowledge of direct sales, maintain a customer database, coordinating deliveries, and recruiting new customers. Bookkeeping background and computer software proficiency with MSWord and Excel preferred.

Brookwood – Part-Time Cook
Looking for a Part-Time Cook to work in their Café at Brookwood. Must accurately and efficiently prepare salads, cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking. Must have two (2) years experience in kitchen prep and cooking, ability to lift 40 lbs., work in a standing position for long periods of time, and work a flexible schedule.

Brookwood -- Weekend Group Home Teacher (Respite)
Brookwood is currently taking applications for a Respite to work Friday afternoon through Sunday evening supervising the weekend activities in one of their residential homes. Applicants must be mission orientated individuals that have a
desire to serve God by providing a nurturing environment for their population. They prefer to have applicants with at least 5/more years of residential group home or direct care experience especially working with the elderly or those with special needs. Applicants must have some form of supervisory/management background. Prefer a background in psychology, special education, social service or a related field. Benefits include competitive salary, insurance, paid time off, and living quarters for the weekend.

Brookwood -- Production Assistant
The Brookwood Community is currently looking for a Full Time Production Assistant. Candidates must be a team player, organized, and possess excellent time management skills. Must be able to lift molds from 50lbs to 70lbs. Previous experience and familiarity with ceramic clay (white, terracotta, etc.), underglaze and glaze materials, and loading/firing/unloading of electric kilns is a must. .

Brookwood -- Work Program Teacher
This position involves teaching adults with functional disabilities to develop artistic and manual skills in our Craft and Horticulture workshops by using adaptive teaching techniques and methods of instruction. The Work Program provides meaningful opportunities that enhance our citizen’s sense of independence and self-worth while achieving production goals. If you have a four year degree in psychology, sociology, special education or a related field, and possess a sincere desire to enrich the lives of others, then this may be the opportunity for you. Must meet all health requirements, including TB test, and pass background check.

Brookwood -- Part-Time Cafe Wait Staff
The Cafe at Brookwood is now hiring for Part Time Wait Staff for the lunch and evening banquet service.
Their country gourmet restaurant is open everyday for lunch and private evening functions. As part of the Café staff, you will help provide a positive environment for their special citizens and guests.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills, compassion for and desire to work with adults with functionally disabilities, and meet all health requirements, including TB test, and pass background checks.

The Brookwood Community is a growing program offering a unique residential teaching position in one of their group homes. Brookwood is an internationally recognized, private, not-for-profit residential community for adults with disabilities located on a beautiful 475-acre campus in Brookshire, Texas. They are a God-Centered organization currently in our twenty-seventh year of providing a lifestyle that meets the occupational, social, recreational and spiritual needs of their citizens.
